I have known Brandon and Valerie since their college days. Both of them were excellent students. During the 2½ years that they have been at Heritage, we have seen the two of them give themselves to the ministry. It is clear that Pastor Starnes is an excellent expository preacher of the Word of God, a good administrator, and he has a heart for the pastoral ministry.

I had the privilege of getting to know Pastor Starnes on a personal level as he served as the Men's Dorm Monitor at Maryland Baptist Bible College while I served as the Dean of Men.
