What is this packet that you hung on my door?
The packet you received should contain three pieces of information. First, there is a letter of introduction, which tells you about our group and our goals. Our desire is for individuals and families to come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Second, you will find a booklet that contains two epistles from the New Testament: The Gospel of John, and the Epistle to the Romans. Finally, the packet contains a church brochure that gives more information about our ministry.
Who are you?
We are a group of families joined together in Christ to make a difference in the homes and businesses of our community. Our pastor is W. Brandon Starnes, a Bible college graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Pastoral Studies and a Master's Degree in Christian Education. He has nearly ten years of ministry experience and has been called by God to plant a church in the Harrisburg area.
Why did I get this packet?
We have distributed nearly 30,000 packets to your friends and neighbors. No address was singled out and we are not soliciting anything. The literature is free, and you may request more via email or phone. Our purpose is only to inform you about our church home and location.
What if I already have a church home?
We realize that many who receive a packet will already have a church home. Our primary objective is not to recruit members from other congregations; however, there may come a time when a church is not what it used to be. As Christians, we ought to always be seeking to please God with our lives, and this starts with a church that is grounded in the truth's of the Word of God. This is our desire at SVBC.

When is the best time to visit?
Ideally, we would love to see you at our "Get Acquainted Meetings" (October 17th-21st, 7:00pm, nightly) and our Grand Opening Service (October 24th, 11:00am). Starting Sunday Night, October 24th, you can attend any of our regular services (Sunday School: 10:00am; Morning Worship: 11:00am; Sunday Evening: 6:00pm; Thursday Bible Study: 7:00pm), or you can schedule an appointment with a staff member by contacting us through any of the options listed above.
