Visiting any church for the very first time would make anyone nervous. Where to go? What to wear? What time to show up? What's here for my kids? What can I expect? We want to put you at ease. Your first visit to SVBC will be refreshing, friendly and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people and a place where you feel welcome and at home!
What Should I Expect for My Children?

Starting with excellent nurseries, there is something special for children of every age! At all services there is a safe, clean, and well staffed nursery for children three years old and under. On Sunday morning, for children four years old through sixth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes.
These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.

What's on Schedule for the Adults?

Most adults attend the Sunday School Hour at 10:00am for an informal class that is taught by a knowledgeable teacher. This is an excellent time to get to know others in our church family as friends and fellow Christians. Following the Sunday School Hour at 11:00am is our Morning Service. In this service you will be blessed by the enthusiastic congregational singing and the beautiful special music. The music is always followed by a clear and helpful Bible message. We do recommend arriving about 10 minutes early to allow for parking and seating.
There will also be an offering taken during the morning service. However, as our guests we want you to feel no obligation to put anything in the offering plate. The service is our gift to you.

Are There Other Service Times?

Yes. We have a Sunday evening service (completely different from Sunday morning) that begins at 6:00pm. We also meet on Thursday evenings at 7:00pm for a mid-week Bible study and Prayer Time. If you can't be our guest on Sunday morning, we hope you'll visit with us during another service time.
How Should I Dress?

We have found that most folks tend to dress up when they go to a special event or a special place. Our pastors and teachers, as well as many of our church family, wear the traditional "Sunday best." We want you to be comfortable for your visit to SVBC.
