CHURCH PLANTING IN THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY
HARRISBURG, PA - It is the state's capital, and the tenth largest city in Pennsylvania. The city itself has an approximate population of 50,000. It is located just east of the Susquehanna River, 105 miles west-northwest of Philadelphia. The greater Harrisburg area has a great need for the Gospel. Since the revitalization of the city in 2001, it has become a hot spot for commercial night life and many nightclubs.

Greetings from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania! We are the Starnes family –
Brandon, Valerie, and Lucas. God has led us with clear direction to
plant His church in the very heart of the Susquehanna Valley and the capital
area of the Keystone State. Harrisburg and its surrounding communities
boast nearly 650,000 souls.
Because she is the seat of the state government and because she is centrally
located between major cities, Harrisburg is home to many
different cultures, religions,
and political systems.
In the northeast corner of the Harrisburg area, we have counted more than
26,000 homes with no existing independent, fundamental, Baptist church. We
believe that as the time for laboring in the Father’s vineyard grows short,
we as Christians are to be the light and salt in a world that is darkness
and confusion.
We are eager to minister to the
people for which God has given us a burden, and we are inspired by the
potential ministries that could grow from a church planted in this vital
area of the Keystone state.
We seek your prayers and support as
we embark on this exciting endeavor.
Please take a few minutes and explore
